About this Volume
Volume IA documents the historical formation of the Vilayam Tradition in the period before it existed as an organised framework. It is concerned with what occurred, where, and in what order — not with doctrine.
The focus of the volume is documentary history. Materials are presented as records rather than as illustrations of a thesis, and their provenance, condition, and limits are stated wherever known.
The volume preserves chronology, environments, institutional development, humanitarian work, documentation practice, and archival evidence. Each of these is treated as a separate line of record, capable of being examined independently.
Where the record is incomplete, the omission is noted rather than reconstructed. Interpretation is deferred to later volumes.
