The founding of Kailash Yaatra Ashram in 2007 marked the beginning of the work that has since grown into the Vilayam institutional ecosystem. Subsequent institutions were established as the work deepened: the Dhāms as places of worship and contemplation, the Institute as the centre of research, and the Academy as the home of formal education.
